Q: Okay so I know that a lot of people think this show is fake, but I always thought it was real. That was until I saw this guy on Maury. He was on the show about 4 times becuase he cheated on his wife. Each time, he cried and cried and said he wanted his wife and he was so sorry. THEN I saw the same guy on the Jerry Springer show, and he said the same thing... he was cheating on his wife. But this time, he didn't care what she said, and he was being just a bastard. Totally opposite from the Maury Show. I now KNOW that Maury is fake (I already knew Jerry was fake lol)... what do you all think about this? Do you believe it's fake as well?
A: Fake. I do think most of the shows on TV are fake or have a strong element of fakery, including the so-called 'unscripted' ones. The bottom line is that the people who produce these TV shows want to make money, and they are not going to put 'reality' on TV because it could be boring and nobody would watch. Whether there's a script or just some person telling the reality stars to create drama, I think it's manufactured. But good for you for having a critical eye and noticing at least! I think fewer and fewer people notice anymore, lol... I'll admit to ocassionally still looking at those fakeass shows though for a laugh every now and again though~ ;)
